"For my 60th birthday my wife booked me a cookery lesson with Spice Magic. My two sons and daughters-in-law (one a vegetarian) joined us. I was not really sure what to expect but Pinky greeted us in a traditional manner and quickly made us feel at home in her house. The cookery session was pleasantly informal, took us through the basics and showed us some great tips and techniques to help create various Indian dishes. The session ended with us all tucking in to a splendid meal, created during the tuition. It was a marvellous birthday present, thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family, and whenever I cook Indian food (which I do often) I always remember that day and call on the things I learned to enhance meals.

"It was an honour and a delight to be invited as a member of The Women’s Company to the Purley home of Pinky Lilani, for an evening of Spice Magic and networking with other TWC members. Pinky is one of those inspiring women who leave you awed by their energy, while being uplifted by their positivity. Oh, and we also enjoyed some delicious food and friendly company. And we learned something! Pinky had prepared a whole range of dishes in advance, and then took us all into her kitchen where she demonstrated two of the main methods of Indian cookery while preparing the rest of the meal. All we had to do was watch, admire, and then eat it!"
